My problem is I am always redoing some part of it.

That's exactly my problem, and that's why I'll never be a writer. I can never find a good cut-off point to stop researching and start writing. It seems like everytime I run across a new piece of information, it leads to five new avenues of research, and so on, growing exponentially. Some 30 or more years ago I intended to research a possible book on the 38th Arkansas Infantry, because so many of my ancestors (including 5 g-g-grandfathers!) served in that regiment. Many of the men had prior service in other regiments before joining the 38th Arkansas, so naturally I had to transcribe the CSRs for those regiments, and the result was that I ended up transcribing just about all the Arkansas CSRs. Now I've got a dozen or so banker's boxes full of paper. Any book I wrote would have to be 10,000 pages long.

I will title my book, "NOTHING EVER HAPPENED HERE, SO NOBODY LOOKED!"

If you hadn't looked in such detail, there is so much we'd never know about the Civil War in the lower Arkansas River area. I can't tell you how much you've helped my own research, especially the murky period when Hindman was trying to reconstitute an army at Camp White Sulphur Springs. I don't know if I would have ever figured out the genesis of the 24th Arkansas Regiment and Crawford's Arkansas Battalion, among others, without your help.
