Hello. The reason I asked is that Rodgers was a spelling and name of some people from Georgia.
My gg grandmother was Mary Rodgers Adams and all of that bunch came from the Cedartown,
Georgia area in north Georgia. Mary Rodgers' mother supposedly was a full blooded Cheorkee.
If Henry related to that set, more than likely he had an olive compexion with very, dark almost black
hair and brown eyes.
A few of those people went on to Indian Territory/Oklahoma but most of that grouping stayed behind in
Georgia and left when they were ready to leave.
I have been told long ago that Rodgers was a name that some of the Cherokees used to pass as White.
