Hi Martin, My cousin was mistaken about it being Mott Cemetery, it is actually West Hill Cemetery in Dalton,GA. Here is some info. on it:
CONFEDERATE CEMETERY AND MEMORIAL WALL
West Hill Cemetery is the final resting place for 421 Confederate and 4 Union soldiers who died while fighting in Tennessee and at Chickamauga. The Memorial Wall lists the recently discovered names of Confederate soldiers buried in the cemetery. http://www.carpetsofdalton.com/civil-war-sites.htm
I'm not sure how close Dalton is to Murietta, but if you are interested in visiting West Hill Cemetery, I appreciate you checking for me.
Thank you, Joyce
