The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Ark 4th infantry and Mt Vernon, Mo

B.F. (Benjamin Franklin) was my dad and Uncle Virgil's grandfather. I know it is hard to believe that their grndfather severed in the civil War, but it is true. B.F was my great gradfather. But dad or Uncle Virgil didn't know a lot about him ( except he was soldier in the Civil War and fought and was badly wounded at the Battle of Pea Ridge, that's why he was dischaged so early in the war), B.F. passed away before any of his grand children were born. B.F.'s brother, G.W. (George Washinton) fought on and was killed in the war. He is not barried at Cherry Hill, so I assume that they barried him near the battle field, but I don't know which one. After the Battle of Pea ridge, the 4th Arkansas Infantry moved east and fought other battles east of the Mississippi.

Do you know Deanna Andrews ? If you noticed, she posted on the arkansas civil war message board, that B.F. was her gggrandfather. But that name doesn't ring a bell.
