Bill: Confederate Soldiers who died in Murfreesboro, Tennessee while under Confederate control were originally buried in a Confederate Cemetery there. Sadly, just after the turn of the century (20th century) that land was sold for a service station and the graves all (hopefully) were moved to Evergreen Cemetery in a large Mass Grave for Confederate Soldiers. There are just a few names known out of the approximately 2,000 men buried there. You can google for the cemetery in Murfreesboro and find a very good web site for it. The know names are listed in it (although there are some mistakes with spelling and units). Good Hunting, Tim Burgess
