A few years ago, I believe that I had posted a small portion of a letter written by Col. David Walker
on this battle and what the Rebs had actually ended up with from that wagon train. He was a stickler
for details. It seems like he said there was more than was reported in this correspondence.
My Grandson has all of my research now, maybe I can get him to send me a copy and I'll post it here.
