I've been looking for a Des Arc Ranger Uniform picture for several years, without much luck. The closest I have found is an image of Lt. Dave Alexander, Napolean Cavalry, 1st Ark. Mounted Rifles. It appears in the book, "Wilson's Creek" by Piston and Hatcher and is from the collection of General Sweeny's Museum, Republic, Missouri. The flannel shirt is wrong pattern but everything else appears to be pretty close to the discription in the Des Arc newspaper.
My GGrand Uncle is Cornelius Newton Hayley, Des Arc Rangers, 1st Ark. Mtd. Rifles and I'm always looking for more about him.
