I am looking for information on Thomas Benton Monccrief. This is what I know. He was in Co. C of the 15th Arkansas Infantry(The Yell Rifles). He later transfered to the 2nd.I do have his his service records.He is buried at Mcgavock Confederate Cemetery at Frankin where he has 2 graves, both graves have his rank as Lt.but I think he had taken a reduction in rank to serve as Sergeant-Major of Thhe 1st,2nd,13th,15th,and 24th. He was wounded at Murfreesboro and captured at Jonesboro.I can not find him in an 1860 census.
