The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Cleburne Prints--Rick Reeves--Its the Real Thi

Umm, you're kind of a jackass. Here's the deal to anybody who reads this. A few weeks ago I emailed this guy about an ad I saw on facebook saying he had 7 of these prints for sale. I emailed him saying that me and 4 of my friends were interested so I wanted to purchase a few. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me 1 of my friends had already emailed him saying he wanted one if there were any available. Frank emailed him telling him he had only 2 left and he better hurry because they were "going fast!" I emailed him within 20 minutes of my friend receiving that email, he wrote to me saying, "I do have 4 remaining and can get more if you're interested." When I told my friend this he said, "thats strange, he just emailed me saying he only had 2." So, from that I deduced that it could be a scam, or in least dishonorable salesmanship. So, I let it go at that and didn't make a fuss or anything about it, just let it go. Today I got another email from him out of the blue asking if I was still interested. I told him that I was worried it could be a scam...well, all hell broke loose on his part. I even went so far as to apologize for hurting his feelings by stating my fear that it could be a scam. I let him know that I collect civil war relics and I know there are alot of untrustworthy people out there. So of course I'm going to be wary of someone who tells my friend one thing and me another. What does he do? He makes a post on some message board that I've never heard of, then sends me an email telling me to look at his post on this board. Pretty classy!
