My great grandfather Nathaniel Odom joined the Civil War in La. Fought at Champion Hill and was captured at Vicksburg. His papers show he was paroled at Vicksburg and he later joined the Trans Mississippi unit. I can find nothing else to show where he went. Can anyone advise me. He went back to Claiborne Parish La. after the war and is buried here in Bowie County,Texas. Any help in finding exactly where he might have fought after he rejoined the Confederacy upon his release.
