Well his remains are probably inthe National Cemetery then, as most were moved there afterwards. I am skeptical about wounding since nothing is listed on his CSR and most times they included such info. Add to it that the infantry units did not participate in any type of active combat much after Prairie GRove and prior to Helena, especially the 33rd. But you can pretty well bet he is in one of those mass burials over there by the Natl Cemetery.
