I'm a direct descendant of James Larkin Forrest of Craighead County, Arkansas. I understand that he enlisted in the Confederate Army. Have you found any other information since you wrote your post in 2007? I'd be interested in it, if so. His father was not named William, but Washington T. Forrest, and his mother was Sarah.
