Ron, I'm still looking at the Old Troy Road as the most direct route leading southeast out of Monticello as possibly being the principle road used, however, you are right, there are a couple unmarked roads connecting to the Old troy Road that come into it. I'm not sure any plantation southwest would have been used as the Gaines landing Road runs southeast. Any information is appreciated.
