Thomas Preyer (Puryear)

Asking again for some help. A relative, Thomas Preyer (Thomas Puryear) who served in Co. E, 38th Arkansas Infantry, Shaver's Regiment, is shown as "Dead, Died 30th day of April 1863." His Company Muster Roll card shows he was last paid by a Major Gibbs on Feby (sic) 28 186_. His name is misspelled on the card. He was a twin brother to another Confederate Veteran, card also misspelled, of Co. F, 7th Arkansas Infantry, Granison Pruyear (Granderson Puryear), who was wounded and taken prisoner at what appears to have been Murfreesboro Dec. 31, 1862. I have a scrap of information that I cannot put hands on that indicate Granderson suffered his fate at Little Rock (?). Granderson wound up as a POW (where?) for the remainder. He made his way back here to home after the War, suffered with breathing problems till he died (wounded severely in his chest). My questions are, what battles are involved here, where did Granderson go to Prison, are there any graves, mass or otherwise, where Thomas may lie?, what year did he die? Thanks for any expected help, Grady Puryear, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Camp 1938
