This is not an Arkansas unit, but Arkansas troops were there. The battle of Ashley's Station and Jones Hay Station #5 of 8-24-1864, was attack by Gen. J.O. Shelby's brigades. In the attack was Captain Richard A. Collins, Second Missouri Field Artillery Battery, He only had two guns at the fight and both were Parrotts. They were used very effectively in the battle.
