The Elm Springs Yesterdaze Festival is this Saturday starting at 7:30 with, amoung other things, a pancake breakfast (hope they have lots of bacon), antique car show, the 11th MO. Civil War Reinactment Group, and Civil War artifacts including yours truly displaying his collection of Civil War merchant scrip notes issued right here in NWA during the Civil War by local merchants.

You know the Civil War didn't just happen in the East. These are not far off battlefields. This happened right here where live and work every day. The local area is rich in history ripe for the picking if one simply takes the time to look and learn.

The weather is suppose to be perfect so come out and enjoy the fun and learn something new about local history.

Of course, located on HWY 112 north of Tonitown and West of Springdale.
