Evans Benton from Little Rock will bring our program on Tuesday, October 12th. His topic will be on the Parker's Road Battlefield in West Tennessee which was fought in December 1862. Benton is an amateur historian and member of the CWRT of Arkansas. The meeting begins at 7:00 and will be held at the Lonoke Museum on Hwy 70.
We will raffle the new release: The Lincoln Assassination: Crime & Punishment, Myth & Memory. This work is edited by Harold Holzer, Craig Symonds, and Frank Williams. It is an informative and provocative collection of essays that probes one of the most prominent events in U.S. history. Bring your $$$ to help support our Roundtable toward purchasing a Sesquicentennial Commission Marker in Lonoke County.
