Bill,

I have been to all three areas. As far as Island 10 goes, probably the best places to visit would be New Madrid Missouri and TIptonville, TN. The 4th garrisoned Ft Bankhead the northern fort there at New Madrid while 11th and 12th were in the southern fort, Ft THompson. After they evacuated on March 13th, they were stationed there in the Tennessee area north of Tiptonville TN along the river. THere are some roads into that area but it has been a while since I was there so not sure of accessibility now. There is a museum at New Madrid and I am not sure about Tiptonville, as I did not stop there.

Corinth, you can see any number of locations with historical markers. The park there at Battery Robinette and if you go down past the Hospital there are cannons located in a subdivision marking locations. There might be a musuem there as well depicting the area.

The hospital in Memphis I guess would be the Overton Hospital and I had someone point out that the hospital was just north of the Pyramid along the river but nothing is there now. Many men who died there are buried in the big cemetery just south of Beale St area.

THis is just a basic bit of info. Good luck.
