Major John Henry Brown of Texas writes in his diary on Feb. 9, 1862 that he watched the burial of "Capt. S.R. Bell and three other Fayetteville heroes, who fell at Oak Hills." Bell and one of the other, Sgt. William Brown, were with the 3rd Arkansas Sate Troops. The other two were privates McCurdy and Henry Fullbright. Any idea who the latter two served with?
