According to the CWSS, an A.O. Coleman was in Company G, Johnson’s 15th Arkansas Infantry. Most of that unit originated in Ouachita County, Arkansas, and A.O. appears in the 1860 Census for Marion TWP, Ouachita County, with wife Fannie. He was age 23, born in VA, and Fannie was age 16, born in AR.

Frances (“Fannie”) appears in the 1850 Census for Marion TWP, Ouachita County, as Frances Jordon, age 7, household of B.F. Jordon.

Augustus’ unit fell captive 09 Jul 1863 at Port Hudson, LA, and received a parole on 12 Jul 1863.
