The Tellico Manufacturing Company made cotton and wool cloth. The building was 100'X200', and had 4 large engines to produce the cloth. It cost over $100,000 in 1854.The Civil War was the demise of this company along with flooding from the Trinity River. Family history states that Thomas McCray paid back the investors.
