I have read Ronald Bass' book on the 31st infantry and what bio info Bruce Allardice wrote in his "More generals in Gray".
I think thomas McCray is an interesting and probably tradgic character. It's not clear to me, but is McCray actually buried under that parking lot in Chicago? and how did he end up there?
