Arsenal Incident; Burgevin and Ashford

In his diary, Little Rock school teacher Ralph Leland Goodrich mentions that two of the ring leaders of the "mass" of soldiers that came to Little Rock at the time of the Arsenal incident in February 1861 were Ashford and [Edmond] Burgevin. Goodrich claims they were "driven out of town" after the incident; Burgevin drawing his sword on a man. Does anyone know anything more of this incident? Can anyone tell me more about these two men singled out by Goodrich in his diary. See February 11 under: http://goodrichpoems.wordpress.com/1861-2/february-1861/
