Dr Dye was in Princeton after Jenkins Ferry battle and Virginia (Davis) Gray (w/o Col Oiver Crosby Gray) drew him a picture of the Dallas county court house so he could send it to Richmond as a Confederate hospital, so written in her diary by Moneyhon of UALR in 1983.

She buried her father Christmas day 1870 next to her 1st son who died 1861, her 2nd son was Carl Raymond Gray (1867-1939), ended after 56 years of railroading as vice-chairman of Union Pacific RR starting with Frisco at new town of Rogers, AR in 1883.
