Bruce, I've been unable to locate much information about Monroe's regiment after the early spring of 1864 -- no muster rolls, casualty lists, etc. Sometimes I can arrive at a plausible estimate of a regiment's strength by examining regimental and company quartermaster and commissary requisitions, receipts for forage, etc., but even these documents are largely missing from the record.
