Reuben Goin (Guinn) 8th Reg. TX Inf (Hobby's) Co H

Reuben Goin
Rank In: Private; Rank Out: Private
Confederate
8th Regiment, Texas Infantry (Hobby's) Company H
Infantry

****If this is the Reuben Davis Guinn I am looking for, his birth and death dates are:
Birth: Circa 1814 Madison, Alabama
Death: After 1870? Jefferson Co., Arkansas?

If possible, I would like to find out if the birth date for my Reuben Davis Guinn is the same for Reuben Goin. Reuben Guinn would have been 50 in 1864. He was a wheel wright and wagon maker and associated with blacksmiths. So he could have served the war effort in this capacity.

Did the 8th Regiment, Texas Infantry (Hobby's) Company H end up in Arkansas at the end of the war?

Reuben Davis Guinn was born, married Emeline Harris and had his first child in Alabama. Reuben and Emeline moved on to Mississippi and had three more children. They moved on to Texas by 1847 and had two more children. Emeline died of puerperal fever in 1850. Reuben continued to purchase land in Ellis Co. Texas and Corsicana, Navarro Co., Texas in the mid 1850's.

I do not have any record of him from 1858 to 1865. But, I do find a R Guinn in several US Tax Assessment records in Jefferson Co., Arkansas from 1866, 1867, 1869 to 1870.

Thanks in advance for your help!
