Gives me hope. My gggrandpa William (Bill) F. Grubbs left Bossier Parrish LA to go to war. Last time the family saw him, but they did hear later of his death. No records of a Wm F, or Bill Grubbs in any LA regt and no way to determine if any of the others are him...so far (no he is not the Wm Grubbs that enlisted at Morristown, TN in 1861). Anyway, I'll keep on looking. Glad you had success.
