A while back you asked if there were any Parrot guns used in batteries in Arkansas? I found another reference to Parrot guns being used at the battle of St. Charles, June 17th, 1862.

In the union navy accounts of the damaging of the USS Mound City in the report in Vol. 23 of the Naval Official Records on page 166 it states that 7 guns were captured by the Union army and naval forces, two were listed as being "9 pd Parrot Guns".
