I am trying to determine if members of the 1st Ark Inf (Fagan) brought weapons or since they were the initial responders to Confederate call in Apr 1861, did not bring weapons but figured they would be supplied from Arsenal or somewhere else. Did they receive weapons in Little ROck?? I know William Crawford, CPT of Co E states when they received their new Springfields in Lynchburg, VA but I cant find any reference to whether they had weapons prior to this. Does anyone have anything that points to these men showing up unarmed and expecting arms from the govt?
