Hey Bryan, he was 45 according to the 1860 census. I didn't find him in either army and didn't know if he might be one of those western Arkansans that joined Kansas units (which I didn't find, either) or something else...when all else fails, ask the expert. The lady doesn't know if he served or not, just know he was bushwhacked in 65.
