Re: C.K. Polk
Charles K. Polk enlisted in Co. A, 4th (Gordon's) Arkansas Cavalry, at Huntsville, Arkansas, on June 10, 1862; and was mustered into Confederate service with his company at Camp Massard, Arkansas, on August 16, 1862, for three years or the war. He was captured at Mound City, Kansas, on October 24, 1864. He sent to Alton, Illinois, on November 16, 1864; and was transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, for exchange, on February 17, 1865. He applied for a Confederate pension from Madison County in 1907, and died in 1916.
