Michael Alfred Dry is not carried on the rolls of McRae's regiment. He enlisted in Co. L, 5th (aka 8th) Arkansas Cavalry, at Kenyon, Arkansas, on December 26, 1862. Towards the end of the war (no enlistment records) he served as first sergeant of Co. I, 45th Arkansas Mounted Infantry (aka 45th Arkansas Cavalry). He was paroled at Jacksonport on June 5, 1865; age 32, born in North Carolina, eyes black, hair black, complexion dark, height 5'8".
