I have photocopies from several volumes but not the volumes themselves...was there some sort of book or register that these Records of Events came from? The entries are very similar, in fact identical in some cases, from company to company, and in different regiments. Some of the events are signed by captains or lieutenants, some have no name at all. Were these made by the company commanders as they went along?
My other question regards the field and company officers. Some of them have their name, rank, and then an "r" followed by a date. It doesn't appear to be for "resigned" as several of the officers that have the "r" never resigned. Also doesn't appear to be date of rank. Anybody know???
