Her maiden name was Nancy J. BERRY. However, she was married around 1861 during the Civil War and her name would have become Nancy J. BANKSTON. She became widowed early and remarried. At this time she remarried in 1864 and would have gone by Nancy J. ROGERS (ROGERS). Again she was widowed in 1870 and remaried; her name became Nancy J. ADAIR. I have no proof but at some time, she might also have married someone by the name of Edd McCollum.

I have also seen her name with 2 middle names- Nancy J. E. BERRY. Once I even saw her name as Julia BERRY.

Is that confusing enough? LOL
