One last tidbit...while wandering through Arlington Cemetery, I walked up to the Confederate VEterans area and Col Crabtree is buried there, just walked up and there was his stone. Seems he moved to DC to be near his family and if I remember correctly (not getting him mixed up with someone else) he may have lived at the Confederate Home in Little Rock and moved to one in DC...don't hold my feet to the fire for accuracy on that, I would have to look it up again but seems like I researched it when I found his grave to see why he was out there.
