I can detail the 2nd Ark BN some ... it went to Virginia to join the 1st Ark Inf which was full. It was made up of 3 companies and was in the area of Auqia Creek etc. During the 7 Days it saw active service at battle of Beaver Dam Creek/Gaines Mill where it lost heavily and was reported about in the Richmond paper. Only 42 privates answered roll after the battle. In July those that were ill, suffering from wounds and disabled were discharged and sent home. The the unit was disbanded and the rest were rolled into Co F of the 3rd Ark Inf (the Saline/Hot Springs Co) and Co I (the Jefferson/Saline Co Co) in July where they served the ramainder of the war. One item of note, the battalion flag is in private hands in Rogers, AR. It was picked up when Union forces landed and scrounged through the camp site of the 2nd Ark Bn and its brigade.

Crawford's BN eventually wound up becoming part of the 24th and later the survivors end up in Hardy's Ark Inf Regt. Bryan Howertonand Doyle Taylor can probably detail this more.
