The 27th Militia Regiment was from Bradley County. It was assigned to the 6th Militia Brigade. It was commanded by Col. I. E. Crane. The only volunteer militia company that I am tracking from Bradley County was the "Sweeney Riflemen" commanded by Captain B. F. Swinney. They became Company C, 5th Arkansas Infantry Regiment I will see what else I have on Bradley County's Militia Regiment at home.
