In the letter to which I was previously referring, here is a list of the names that were mentioned as being at Prarie d'anne and Camden.
The letter didn't mention any numerical designation for the units at all. It did relate to the fact that all of the infantry force had been
sent off prior to engaging Steele at Prarie d'anne, and that all of this had been done by the cavalry. It also says that after the Feds got
to Camden then sent out 210 wagons for forage guarded by 3,000 soldiers. Cabell, Gano and Maxey intercepted and captured the whole train.
it also said that Cabells' Brigade was dismounted and marched across the field until within 40 steps before charging and that Gordons Regiment
led in taking the battery.
