This is a pencil drawn picture of an unknown confederate can anyone identify
this soldier? At bottom left is noted "F D'Avignon, Winchester, Va 1862" With
the style of writing the "F" may be a J, S or T, I'm not sure. I would think the
name is the artist and not the soldier. I only found one soldier with the name
D'Avignon and he was Union. R.D.
