The Texas State Historical Assoc. states that the 14th TX. Cav. (dismounted) participated in the above battle on April 30. It shows they were at Lauderdale Springs,MS on Apr. 5, and later participated in this battle, losing several men. I appreciate anyone's help on this. Lynn
