The small civil war village of Crocketts Bluff on the White River, which is a few miles north of St. Charles, Arkansas was named after the Robert Crockett family. Robert Crockett was Davie Crockett of Alamo fame grandson. Col. Robert Crockett served as a second to Gen. L. Marsh Walker in the Marmaduke/Walker Duel of Sept. 7, 1863 in which Gen. Walker was killed. Does anyone have sources for all or any of the above, but mainly the Crocketts Bluff to Robert Crockett connection.
