Does anyone have anything on Joseph C. Lance, born 1827? Our family had his .36 cal. Tennessee "pore" boy rifle. It had been converted from flintlock, He was reported to have carried it through the war. He would have been from Fulton County, the part that is now Baxter County. With this weapon, he would likely have been a Confederate, but we are not sure.
