Hello Mr. Howerton. I tried several times to reach you unsuccessfully at an older email address before coming upon this web site. I appreciate any help or leads you might could provide me to further research a missing family member, Tally Norton, appearing in the Doddridge, Arkansas census in 1860 but not in 1870, as his wife Caroline Malone Norton was widowed. Our last implicit record of his existence is the birth of Burrell Norton after 1863. We believe he joined the Bright Star rifles, but have never been able to find him on any muster rolls.
