I believe you are right, many of the men of this regiment were later part of Crabtree's however several of the Lawrence County Arkansas men from Company E were in Baber's. also many of the men in the regiment were from Missouri. correct me if i am wrong. but from my research I thought the regiment was operating independently as partisan rangers during the 1862 skirmish. i know this unit was often classified in the same category as Freeman's prior to Price's Raid.
