Yes, this is that first unit Crawford commanded when he went up to NW Arkansas and mentioned how they deserted etc, but he was involved with Cabell and Fagan at Fayetteville, Backbone Mnt, and Jenny Lind. I presume that some of these would be the core of his unit that would organize in late 1863 when other companies were added. I know Miller's Co became Co B sometime after the summer and that Dismuke's company that was originally in Poe's BN was transfered late to become Crawford's Company M. So yes I would think some of the men and companies would have been part of the bunch he eventually organized into his regiment when new units were added.
