Stephen Thomas Fair

I saw an 1925 document recently that stated in the personal effects of Stephen Fair was an order book of his old regiment (Adair's 2nd Cherokee Mtd Vols). Stephen Fair was a school teacher in Benton County. He originally served in an Arkansas regiment (the 14th if I recall correctly) but later joined Bryan's Battalion (1st Cherokee Btn) which was combined with other companies to form the 2nd Cherokee Mtd Volunteers (Adair's) in Feb 1863. He spend some time attached to Livingston, per his service record, and was officially made adjutant of Adair's Regiment in early 1865.

Three of his letters were printed in the Ark Historical Quarterly in 1944.

Does anyone know if his "personal effects" still exist? Any ideas on where to look?

Thanks.
Ken
