It was a great gala. There were lots of folks in period dress, sort of a blast from the past for sure.
The food was wonderful, and the whole crowd, was very laid back and of course I visited with lots of folks.
The gentleman who sang songs of the Civil War did a great job since he told a story with each song. He was in period dress and his
grandson was a wonderful assistant.
The period dance instructor, Karen Duffey, was beautifully attired in a white period dress. She is a college teacher, out of St Louis, and
was amazing.
Sorry if you missed it and perhaps next year you can make it.
Don't forget, next Saturday, the 28th, will be the day to be in DeValls Bluff.
