On May 20th 1864 there was a skirmish between a patrol from the 8th Mo. Cavalry (US) & part of Freeman's command near Stoney Point in White co. In the brief mention of the fight in regimental returns it states that Freeman had been reinforced by "guerillas". Several men were killed & captured by the 8th. In the book "Rebels Hell" it lists several men captured on May 20th. Among them were Josiah Pryor, who had been a member of the 10th Ark. Inf, Joseph Carr, who had been or was a member of the 8th Ark. Inf, another was David Music, listed as a guerilla, & Parris Middleton, also a guerilla.
I couldnt find these last two names in the CWS&S System. Does anyone know who Music & Middleton were?
