Dr. Edward Motter was a CSA doctor from Viriginia who was assigned to the 10th Arkansas. After the Civil War,
he was a doctor at Hickory Plains, Arkansas and married in about 1871, a lady from Little Rock, a Mrs. Smith.
They had a daughter who died young.
Dr. Motter was in what became Lonoke County in 1872 and in the 1889 Lonoke County Goodspeeds.
