The Butler Center for Arkansas Studies is pleased to announce the digitization of the John Myers Civil War Letters collection. Myers served in the 28th Iowa Infantry and spent a good deal of his service in Arkansas. He also participated in the Vicksburg Campaign. Myers died of typhoid on August 14, 1863, while on the hospital ship R.C. Wood.
